Brighton Dome
Brand identity for Brighton Dome: the south coast’s premier multi-arts venue; and sister organisation to Brighton Festival.
The rebrand (which needed to be related but distinct from the festival) involved print
and online materials as well as an extensive signage programme, which was required to be sensitive to the listed Regency era building.
The serifs of the initial D logo took inspiration from the Regency scallops on the building’s architecture. Gold became the primary colour to reference the regal history.
Mrs Eaves was chosen as the accompanying lead typeface (a modern update to Baskerville – a typeface which was in existence in the time of George IV).
